Vorwerk to open factory in Preljina – 1,000 new jobs

As the RINA news agency learns, Vorwerk will open a new factory in Preljina on March 25th, which will produce components for the automotive industry. This is an enormous industrial complex that will employ 1,000 workers.

Around 150 people from the town of Čačak are already working there and there were employed in the initial phase. As the company’s needs grow, new jobs will be created accordingly in the coming period.

The local government in Čačak has invested several million euros in the construction of the utility infrastructure, electrical installations and roads. Phone and internet lines have been set up, and the land, on which the factory is being built, was given to Vorwerk for free for a certain period.

The average salary of the workers in the new factory will be around EUR 500, and the company’s invested over EUR 50 million.

To remind, Vorwerk Autotec from Wuppert, Germany, is a producer of components for the automotive industry. The company is a supplier for the world’s biggest car brands, such as Audi, Daimler-Chrysler, Volkswagen, Bentley, BMW and Porsche.
