SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Grow sales in all aspects of the market by working with wholesale partners to manage inventory, project releases, support wholesaler reps in the market, and present to distributor sales teams. The ideal candidate will continue building relationships with accounts by educating them on product line up, availability, and pre-selling rotational and specialty releases. All while representing von Trapp Brewing in a professional and courteous manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop a strong knowledge of von Trapp Brewing’s portfolio, lager styles and history
- Learn and follow all state regulations and laws pertaining to Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC
- Visiting at least 50 accounts per week
- Communicating internally and with distributor and account partners in a timely and professional manner
- Turning in all paperwork and pre-sells on time
- Working two promotional events or samplings per month
- Traveling to support all portions of the market and for crew drives
- Scheduling work-withs with distributor partners where available
- Attending and presenting to distributor sales team meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
Territory: Live in the Baltimore, Northern Virginia, or Washington DC area.
Experience: Have at least two years of sales experience and/or at least three years of craft beer experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently with limited direction and within a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with VIP and Lilypad
- Clean driving record
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Daily travel within territory including regular overnight trips both in territory and crew drives
At-Will Employment: Employment with von Trapp Brewing Co. may be terminated by either von Trapp or the employee at any time with or without cause or notice.
