LEN: BUT FISHING MEMORIES IS WHAT HE CHERISHES THE MOST. >> MY GRANDMOTHER TOOK ME FISHING. LEN: AND NOW, HE IS CREATING THOSE MEMORIES FOR DREAM FACTORY CHILDREN. >> SO, I THOUGHT, I CAN HEP THE KIDS OUT AND THAT’S WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT. LEN: YEARS AGO, RICK AND HIS WIFE VOLUNTEERED FOR THE ANNUAL FISHING FOR DREAMS EVENT. HE WAS HOOKED. >> ONCE THEY GRAB THE FISHING POLE, AND CAN OF WORMS, ALL OF THEM TROUBLES ARE OVER FOR A COUPLE HOURS. LEN: AS THE EVENT GREW, SO DID THE CHALLENGES. ONE YEAR, THEY RAN OUT OF BAIT. >> THEY DIDN’T HAVE ENOUGH WORMS AND SO THEY WERE USING HOT DOGS AS BAIT. LEN: RICK MADE SURE THEY NEVER RAN OUT OF BAIT AGAIN. HE’S RAISED MONEY TO MAKE SURE THE FISHING FOR DREAMS EVENT CAN GO ON FOR YEARS. HE SAYS HE’LL BE READY TO PASS THE TORCH, ER FISHING POLE TO SOMEONE ELSE IN ABOUT 5 YEARS. >> IT’S GOOD TO SEE A SMILE ON THE KIDS FAC

Rick Burton says he’s not an avid fisherman. Fishing for memories is what he cherishes the most. Now, he is creating those memories for Dream Factory children. Burton and his wife volunteered for the annual Fishing for Dreams event. He said he was hooked.
