Hartford — A Vernon man is charged with operating a drug factory and other counts after police allegedly found drugs and packaging materials at his home, where there also was an infant present, police said.
Marvin Henry, also known as “T”, 27, was arrested after the East Central Narcotics Task Force and Vernon police officers executed a search warrant at his West Street apartment on April 4 and allegedly found “approximately 42 grams (1 ½ ounces) of fentanyl powder, approximately 75 grams (2 ½ ounces) of powder and crack cocaine, and various prescription narcotics pills,” as well as “packaging material, scales, and other items used to facilitate a drug factory operation,” police said in a statement.
Police said Henry is charged with risk of injury to a child because officers who were executing the search warrant found that there was an infant at the home, also noting the narcotics-related paraphernalia was “uncovered in various common spaces of the residence.”
Henry also is charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell-fentanyl; possession of narcotics with intent to sell-cocaine; possession of narcotics with intent to sell-prescription narcotics; possession of drug paraphernalia; and operating a drug factory, police said.
Henry is free on a $250,000 bond, police said.
The East Central Narcotics Taskforce, in cooperation with other municipal and federal law enforcement agencies, works to stop illegal narcotics sales and use in the Manchester, South Windsor, Vernon and Glastonbury communities, ECNTF Supervisor Lt. Shawn Krom said in the statement. Anyone with information on alleged illicit drug activity is asked to contact the East Central Narcotics Taskforce at (860) 645-5548. All calls will remain confidential.
