Utkalika Begins Procurement Of Organic Masks From Artisans

Bhubaneswar: Coronavirus is continuing to spread its wings all-round. Medical Practitioners recommended to use washable mask during this period to prevent oneself from being infected. Converting this situation into an opportunity ‘Utkalika’ has started production and procurement of masks from the empanelled artisans of Utkalika with a motto to sustain the livelihood of poor artisans/weavers during this lock-down period.

Masks made up of Kotpad, Sambalpuri cotton fabric have been attractive to the customers for these unique features like Handwoven/Handloom Cotton, Natural/Organic dye of Kotpad fabric, washable, skin-soothing during summer.

Utkalika has supplied around 2000 pieces of masks to different organisations and corporations including SBI. Masks of different design, attractive, vibrant, natural colour and design of different sizes for all ages also look trendy, with varied price range are also available in its showroom.

Maskmaking and marketing of the masks will benefit the members of women self-help group during lockdown period. So also the trendy design with natural handwoven fabric will definitely attract all categories of people of our society, said M.D., Utkalika Smt. Anjana Panda.
