A senior official at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) was this morning killed in a freak accident on the Iganga-Mbale Road.
The deceased is Paul Nathan Magera who has been serving as the Head of the Bureau’s Procurement and Disposal Unit.
The car crash happened this morning at Busembatya on the Road heading to Tirinyi.
Another unidentified person who was traveling with Magera in the Toyota Prado number UAL 334 J also died on the spot according to eyewitnesses.
The vehicle is said to have been involved in a collision with a truck carrying sugarcane.
URSB in a statement on Monday said there will be a vigil at the home of Mr Magera in Najjera 2, in Kira Municipality, while the rest of the funeral arrangements will be communicated later.
