Turkey’s Erenli starts building car parts factory in Serbia

BELGRADE (Serbia), December 22 (SeeNews) – Turkish car parts maker Erenli has started the construction of a 16.6 million euro ($18.8 million) factory in Leskovac, eastern Serbia, the Leskovac city government said on Wednesday.

Erenli plans to hire a total of 338 employees at the factory, which will be located in Leskovac green zone, the city government said in a statement.

During a meeting with Leskovac mayor Goran Cvetanovic, representatives of Erenli expressed their gratitude to the city government for the excellent cooperation during the preparation and implementation of the investment.

In October, Serbia’s state aid commission said it approved the delivery of 7.6 hectares of land to Erenli for the construction of a 16.6 million euro factory for automotive cooling systems.

According to the investment project, the automotive cooling systems manufactured in Leskovac will be sold to Daimler Mercedes, FCA, PSA, Renault, Nissan, Volkswagen, Kia, BMW and Hyundai.
