Town Board OKs Port Washington Paint Wholesaler’s Expansion

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — The North Hempstead Town Board has signed off on a Port Washington paint wholesaler’s plans to build a $6.7 million expansion to its distribution center.

Paint Applicator Corp. of America, or PACOA, plans to build a 22,000-square-foot addition to its existing distribution center on Harbor Park Drive, according to town documents. The Town Board approved the site plans Jan. 22. A spokeswoman for the town said the company still must obtain building permits for the project.

In its application, the company reportedly said it planned to add six full-time jobs within three years of the expansion.
