Tiny house stolen near The Shell Factory in North Fort Myers

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – A tiny house that was located in front of the Shell Factory off US 41 in North Fort Myers was taken on Tuesday, officials said.

Investigators said the tiny home was on a trailer when someone hooked it up to a vehicle and drove off.

The thief was last spotted around 5:30 p.m. on Bayshore Road near Love’s Travel Center, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

Officials describe the home as similar to the one pictured but brown in color and covered with a large green tarp.

The owner spent months working on the custom-built home and is now offering his own $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the crime to contact SWFL Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
