HACKENSACK, NJ — Three Hackensack men who had marijuana on them with intent to distribute from a single-family house have been arrested.
An investigation by the Narcotics Bureau into the sales of narcotics from an Anderson Street home resulted with the execution of a court-authorized search warrant.
Following a sweep from the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, police seized an unspecified quantity of marijuana, vape cartridges containing THC, cash and drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Nicholas Wey, 25, and charged him with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; possession of a controlled dangerous substance; possession of drug paraphernalia for distribution; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Peter Pojer, 38, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana; and Nelson Negron, 58, was charged with possession of marijuana. All three men, who are unemployed, were released on summonses pending a first appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
Detective Captain Darrin DeWitt said the drug bust was an isolated incident.
“The residents of Hackensack deserve to have neighborhoods that are free of crime and illegal drugs,” said DeWitt in a news release. “The residents can be assured that Hackensack police officers will continue to strive to keep the community safe.”
