C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. (C&S), an industry leader in supply chain solutions and wholesale grocery suppliers in the United States, has chosen Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to build a new operations platform on Google Cloud to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and improve the customer experience.
C&S has collaborated with TCS to reinvent its operational systems, which include customer experience and supermarket distribution. TCS will lead the company-wide initiative and assist C&S in developing a new cloud-based architecture to combine its existing systems.
C&S’ new operations platform will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to monitor traffic patterns and find ideal distribution routes, decreasing food waste and increasing fuel economy.
The predictive platform will assist C&S in providing best-in-class tools and capabilities to its staff in order to achieve operational excellence and growth, much of which will be made feasible by introducing self-service options to IT and customer support touchpoints.
The implementation will also provide C&S with the scalability required to achieve long-term corporate development.
The new Google Cloud platform will assist C&S in streamlining operations by offering the infrastructure flexibility required to support the company’s sustainability efforts and growth plan. TCS will assist C&S to lower its carbon footprint by shifting its data centre workloads to Google Cloud’s carbon-neutral infrastructure.
At around 9.26 AM, TCS was trading at Rs3,257.55 up by 0.5% from its previous closing of Rs3,241.30 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs3,260.
