Tamale Factory seeing success in Casper

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – The Tamale Factory opened in Casper about three weeks ago.

Misa Yanez, the owner, said they had to cut their weekend hours because they couldn’t keep up. He adds this is a family business and his mother created a recipe inspired by his great-grandmother.

Yanez said opening a restaurant since the outbreak of COIVD-19 wasn’t much of a challenge. The real challenge was the learning curves of opening a restaurant.

“It challenges we face in our everyday world and I feel like we are tackling them pretty well,” Yanez said.

Yanez adds he’s grateful his product is getting positive attention from the community.

“Casper has treated us well. Last week we were selling over 200 dozen a day,” Yanez said.

Their hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to six p.m. and they are located at 500 S Wolcott Street.
