The Trade Analyst will answer to the the Head of Supply Chain Monitoring& Optimization and work closely with multiple teams within the business from Delivery Operations; Local Market Teams; Tax; Legal; Finance as well as engage with our key logistics partners on whom we rely for our cross-border operations.
What you will do:
- Manage Duties and Tax (D&T) cost within Operations:
- Sound reporting over the D&T cost at regional, local and route level
- Optimizing the inputs that go into D&T calculation at country and HSC level
- Monitoring and actively managing D&T variances at country level
- Managing the claims process with our logistical partners
- Evolve into the Operations’ subject matter expert on Trade Compliance:
- Act as the Single Point of Contact on end-to-end import and export requirements, coordinating with all internal relevant stakeholders
- Provide recommendations, through research and study, on trade risks and opportunities for new global, regional or local initiatives
- Drive value to the business and to our customers by actively looking for D&T Optimization opportunities:
- Be on top of key regulatory changes across key demand markets
- Maintain positive relationships and challenge local market teams
- Support our mission to plan, design, monitor and optimize our supply chain as a key member of the team:
- Drive value to the business, our customers and partners by keeping an inquisitive and numerical mindset towards all our processes;
- Use your analytical skillset as a member of the team’s analytical pool to identify, optimize and automate our fulfilment projects;
- Own the implementation and delivery of selected optimization projects from the team.
Who you are:
- Management or Engineering academic background valued;
- Work experience of =>2 years in E-commerce, Retail or Logistics Services environment;
- Exposure to Customs Operations, Trade Management/ Trade Compliance functions highly valued, especially within the context of B2C operations;
- Previous experience in internal or external Consulting or PM roles highly valued
- Knowledge of import and export compliance requirements;
- Ability to accurately identify compliance gaps, perform research, and accurately and succinctly communicate findings and recommendations;
- Ability to gather and synthesize inputs across multiple deeply technical teams such as Tax and Legal in the context of optimization projects for cross-border trade;
- Strong analytical background, independent with SQL;
- Knowledge of Python in the context of Data Analysis or Process Automation valued;
- Strong team player with the ability to motivate and influence others and the humility to learn and share knowledge;
- Highly organized with the ability to build, maintain and share a complex and ever-changing base of knowledge which is critical for the business;
- High emotional intelligence – ability to thrive in a very collaborative environment, with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams;
- Highly fluent in English;
