Salary: Competitive

Location: Mixture of Office and Home working. Office base of Croydon with regular travel to More London Place.

Hours: 36 per week

We’re recruiting a Strategic Procurement Manager to join our Design & Technical team at Latimer, Clarion’s Development arm.

As Strategic Procurement Manager, you’ll provide procurement and commercial support for Clarion’s new build or S106 transactions. We’ll look to you to deliver significant improvement in value for money, tender process efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Working alongside the Development and Asset Management businesses, Central Procurement Team, and other support functions, you’ll support procurement strategies across the entire portfolio.

Other key accountabilities will include:-

  • Alignment with the Group Procurement Strategy to increase the value for Clarion in the procurement of materials and services related to our build and regeneration programmes.
  • Supporting the delivery of an Energy, Infrastructure and Technology procurement strategy including network operator, manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Supporting the strategic procurement strategy within the development team, work closely with project commercial teams with developing cost plans, and supplier liaison.
  • Supporting long-term partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers to foster two-way feedback and monitor supplier performance. Establish framework arrangements for key component procurement.

The ideal candidate will come to us with experience of working in supply chain management, subcontract and or material buying experience as well as negotiating skills. We’re looking for Specialist commercial / industry experience in purchasing & supply in a management role as well as pre and post contract exposure, covering product procurement, supplier and contractor management. The ability to develop and implement procurement market strategies and strong communication and organisational skills are also essential for the role.
