THE Spanish Ministry of Health awards six of the eleven tenders for COVID protection material, which will total around €2.5 million when they are all awarded.

The Ministry of Health through the National Institute of Health Management (INGESA) has awarded six of the 11 lots that were tendered in the framework agreement for the acquisition of health products for protection against covid.

As reported by Health in a press release on Wednesday, November 11, the regional and national administrations will be able to contact the 52 winning companies and reserve the material they need, such as surgical gowns with high protection against biological agents, molecular tests and medical extraction equipment.

The remaining five lots refer to different types of nitrile masks, goggles and gloves. The total economic amount of the acquisition will reach €2.5 million for almost 3,700 million units of products.
