— UPDATE @ 1:50 a.m.:
The siren sound reported across the northern part of Dayton tonight was a warning siren attached to the Dayton water distribution system near the Kittyhawk Golf Course, according to a Facebook post from the Huber Heights Fire Division.
The fire division said that the siren has now been shut off.
INITIAL REPORT:
We are hearing multiple reports of sirens going off across the northern Dayton area, including reports of sirens in Huber Heights, Butler Township, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and Harrison Township.

The cause of these sirens is currently unknown. We have spoken to officials at the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center, who said that they were unaware of why these sirens were going off as well.
We have not received any report of a tornado, and are working to find out the reason behind the sirens.
