Sips & Secrets honors Lee-Fendall House’s Prohibition-era history, when we were home to Alexandria’s liquor wholesalers (and possible bootleggers!). It features lots of fun speakeasy surprises, including dancing to live jazz and ragtime, a Charleston dance contest and costume contest for the best flapper or mobster style, 1920s-style cocktails, and more.
Interested in an insider’s look at Lee-Fendall’s Prohibition past? Join us at 6:30 PM for a VIP pre-reception, including an exclusive liquor tasting and a tour of the house that focuses on how Prohibition changed the lives of the Downham family and other Alexandrians. Those holding current Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden memberships may attend as VIPs for the price of general admission.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for companies, organizations, or individuals interested in being part of this event and supporting Lee-Fendall House’s mission. To inquire about sponsoring, please contact Megan Ritter Judt, event chair, at [email protected].
