Senior Officer Technology and Procurement job with RMIT UNIVERSITY

  • Full Time, Continuing Position
  • Salary Level HEW 6 +17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Based at the City campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

About the Role

As the Senior Officer, Technology & Procurement you will be responsible for coordination of procurement services and IT asset management for the College of Business and Law. This includes triage and facilitation of all approved procurement requests. It also includes IT asset deployment, tracking, rollover and reporting for College staff and HDR candidates. This role will also be responsible for monitoring hardware issues and coordinating tracking of resolutions of these issues, as well as for providing support to the Coordinator, Operations for the implementation of the College of Business and Law Technology Roadmap each year.

About You

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Experience in the end-to-end coordination of operational projects in a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement activities, including business processes associated with purchase orders, invoicing, goods receipt, stocktake and deployment/delivery.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software requirements in workplaces and experience in asset management in a large organisation.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • A track record of successful stakeholder relationships across organisational units to achieve mutual benefits across the business.
  • Tenacity, resilience and a ‘can-do’ attitude

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven extensive experience
