Technology stocks were declining premarket Thursday. The Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) was down more than 2% and the iShares Dow Jones US Technology ETF (IYW) was over 1.7% lower recently.
The proposed technology partnership between TikTok and Oracle (ORCL) will eventually require approval from relevant authorities in China and the US, ByteDance, the owner of the video-sharing social networking service, told China’s Global Times. Oracle was down more than 3% in recent activity.
Uber (UBER) has sold its European freight business to German digital freight forwarder sennder in an all-stock transaction, sennder announced. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. Uber was over 2% lower recently.
First Solar (FSLR) was declining by more than 7% after it priced a secondary offering of 8.6 million common shares by shareholder Lukas T. Walton at $69 per share.
