SALOTA International, a trendsetter in freight forwarding and logistics with a good track record vies for excellence in the global supply chain industry with a strategic plan to be ahead of competition.
The freight forwarder in another first to win customer confidence and boost business efficiency launched SAL BMS, a cloud based system enabling customers to send bookings and shipping instructions electronically and when received to get zapped directly into SALOTA’S operating system.
The product was developed on the basis that information is to be keyed in only once which would then flow into the entire spectrum of the shipment management process resulting in a whole lot of benefits to customers with increased simplicity, accuracy, speed, efficiency and convenience.
Another specialty of the product is that it also helps prevent duplication of work for the customer and Salota.
Many multinational companies developed software systems to facilitate the freight forwarding industry. However, most of these systems had been engineered by IT companies. SAL BMS on the other hand, is the first locally developed software system by a freight forwarder – Salota International. That is why SAL BMS is unique as it directly caters to the customer requirements; developed by a customer centric organisation, SALOTA International Managing Director Kolitha Wickremasinghe said.
SAL BMS is an outcome of years of extensive research and untiring efforts of the team who came up with a novel product that offers a host of benefits to clients and the company to keep abreast with the global demands in the digital trade world, Wickremasinghe said.
The occasion was also marked with the re-launch of the company’s logo.
“SALOTA has now become even more vibrant and new! We now have a new face and want to share this special moment with you,” he said.
