Saints Row: Boss Factory has just been announced at Summer Game Fest and offers you early access to the game’s character creator, so you can have your Boss ready to go when Saints Row launches in August.
The deep customisation aspects of Saints Row have been touted by Volition numerous times since the game’s announcement, and now you can experience it for yourself. Saints Row: Boss Factory can be downloaded and played on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC, opening the doors to the full suite of character creator options, as well as allowing you to upload and import your character when Saints Row launches on August 23rd — there are a few freebies up for grabs too!

In Saints Row, your Boss is able to be a full expression of yourself — whether you want them to be a more refined individual or a funky chaos-loving gangster, the choice is yours. Boss Factory is a separate program that opens up the full breadth of character creator options that’ll be available in the game’s full version. Boy options, asymmetrical face customisation, hairstyles, eight different voice types, and a host of emotes are available, as well as many outfits, footwear, and accessories.
If you’d like to see and download other players’ creations head to the Boss Factory hub on SaintsRow.com, which allows you to share your designs with other players. The downloaded Bosses can be tweaked and edited as much as you like, as well, so you won’t have to stick with an identical Boss if you don’t want to. You’ll need to register for a Saints Row account to access it, and once you’ve linked your platform your Boss will automatically be imported to the full game on August 23rd.
Registering an account on the Saints Row website will see you rewarded with an exclusive Marshall Rocket Launcher, and uploading a Boss creation earns you two free DJ helmets, all of which will be available in the full game.
