Aluminum RV and trailer manufacturer ATC broke ground on a facility that will be used for its RV product operations.
The 221,000-square-foot factory in Nappanee, Indiana, is scheduled to be completed in Q1 of 2023. The development will create an estimated 150 to 200 jobs and ATC’s headquarters will move to the facility once completed.
ATC anticipates that the facility will increase inventory and production for RV units and parts, as well as accommodate RV and trailer shipping logistics.
Operations at the facility will feature the company’s newest manufacturing strategy of producing trailers and RVs with “popular pre-set features” based on customer data. ATC said this approach bolstered its processes with production lines. The company added that the production shift led to a 33% decrease in warranty claims last year.
“Investing in this facility allows us to continue hiring more talent and expand our capabilities and capacity to supply customers with efficiently produced, high-quality RVs and trailers,” ATC CEO Robert Paden said.
