Retired General talks supply chain at Salute to Business event in Niles

“We’re seeing now a resurgence of onshoring, bringing those manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. and it’s critically important because there’s only, for example right now, only one manufacturer of nitrocellulose that is used in all artillery and mortar ammunition,” Brogan said. “Though they have two facilities, they are both at Radford Army Ammunition plant in Virginia. We need more diversification of our supply chain. We need multiple sources of supply and we need it readily available either here in the U.S. or from some of our close allies.”
