Peach Cobbler Factory scheduled its grand opening in Ortega Park for noon-8 p.m. July 9.
The dessert restaurant, featuring cobblers, banana pudding and cinnamon rolls, will open at 4495 Roosevelt Blvd. Its Facebook page is Peach Cobbler Factory Jacksonville, FL.
Bitty & Beau’s lands permit in San Marco
The city issued a permit June 28 for contractor Keith B. Sheets of Remodeling Pros Inc. to build-out 1,680 square feet of space for Bitty & Beau’s Coffee at 1965 San Marco Blvd. in San Marco Square at a cost of $280,000.
Bitty & Beau’s will lease the space previously occupied by Beach Diner, which closed after a November 2019 fire.
Spouses Howard White and Lissie Hurst, the Jacksonville franchise owners, expect to invest about $500,000, which includes construction, equipment and the $40,000 franchise fee, into their plans to open the coffee shop, which was created to be run by people with disabilities.
The original shop opened in January 2016 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
