MARION — Just days after successfully distributing 1,100 boxes of food to those in need, the Refuge Temple Church will repeat that act.
The original drive was held on Nov. 2.
“We had 1,100 boxes of food to five out, totaling 28,800 pounds,” said Tryphosia Lee, who husband Larry, is the pastor at the church.
Tryphosia said her husband, along with Donald Robinson and Bob Stotlar unloaded the boxes from the truck.
Volunteers from the church loaded the boxes into the cars.
“We even had a couple of neighbors show up to help,” said Tryphosia. “We didn’t get their names, but they were a huge help to us.
There will be a second food distribution on Monday, Nov. 9, beginning at 3 p.m. at the church, 2201 W. Main St., in Marion.
