Procurement & Supply Chain Manager – Science and Technology – Wiltshire

This market-leading and established technology brand working on innovative and state-of the art developments for predominately the defence and security sectors is looking to bring on board an experienced and ambitious supply chain manager to fill this exciting greenfield role.

This role would be perfectly suited to a procurement professional looking to further their career by joining a FTSE 250 company which is at the forefront of exciting technological developments. The successful individual will have a supply chain and procurement background preferably from within the defence, aerospace or technology sectors and will be able to hit the ground running working on major bids and projects.

Procurement & Supply Chain Manager role overview:

  • Overseeing procurement activities on several multi-million £ projects, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and maintaining consistency business wide
  • Lend procurement and supply chain expertise to niche aviation and defence projects, managing risk involved with crucial suppliers
  • Work alongside project delivery and other internal teams to identify long term strategic supply chain requirements and implementing strategy …
  • Forge and develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders up to and including board level for procurement to deliver maximum cost savings

Procurement and Supply Chain Manager role requirements:

  • Extensive (at least 5 years) supply chain and procurement experience, preferably within aerospace, defence or technology
  • Experience of working in a ‘best in class’ procurement function, with an intimate understanding of all aspects of end to end procurement
  • Strong academic record, degree educated and MCIPS preferable
