Procurement Officer Roberta “Bert” Baker retires after dedicating 38 years of service | thebaynet.com | TheBayNet.com



PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners recognized Procurement Officer Roberta “Bert” Baker for dedicating 38 years of faithful service and wished her well in her retirement.


Bert began her career with county government in the Division of Emergency Communication’s control center. She was also a volunteer emergency medical technician for the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad.


Bert is respected and appreciated by her colleagues for her guidance and leadership as procurement officer. She displays a positive attitude and image, which can be seen through her excellent service to the public and mentorship of coworkers. She always makes an effort to go above and beyond to help others.
