Have you experience procuring contracts for services and works associated with managing Social Housing or property assets, regeneration and developments?
Runnymede Borough Council are an ambitious Local Authority with regeneration and place-shaping already underway in the towns of Addlestone and Egham to provide a mix of residential and commercial schemes. These schemes will add to existing portfolios of property assets which bring in millions of pounds used by the Council to deliver services to our local community.
The Council owns and manages a portfolio of Social Housing within the Borough. We deliver first class landlord services with a culture of continuous service improvement across the wide remit of the Housing department including planned and reactive maintenance, disabled adaptations, environmental services and estate management.
This role is an opportunity for you to contribute your procurement expertise to help deliver the procurement strategy and modernise the approach taken to deliver the Council’s ambition.
You will engage directly with both the Housing and Asset Management departments to offer innovative solutions and lead and manage high value and complex procurement exercises (>£100K including FTS). This will include requirement gathering and developing and producing comprehensive tender specifications, technical questions, pricing schedules and evaluation criteria. During 2022/23 our procurement programme includes exciting regeneration projects, hard and soft FM requirements and various Housing Maintenance contracts.
You will be able to communicate at all levels of the organisation and share your expertise by coaching and supporting Buying Managers at all procurement stages. A CIPS qualification is essential as is demonstrable experience of procurement in the public sector.
The Civic Centre offices are based in Addlestone, Surrey, a short drive from the M25 J11. Addlestone is also served directly by trains from Woking, Reading, and London Waterloo. This role would be based 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home each week.
