We are looking for experienced, innovative and inspiring professionals to deliver our new procurement service, delivering a high quality service to all stakeholders. The new procurement team may be small but its influence is large touching every aspect of the Council where Works, Goods and Services are required.
Situated in the heart of the Midlands, Lichfield District Council serves a population of around 100,000 people in the historic city of Lichfield itself and the surrounding district, delivering a wide range of local services to our community.
Both roles will be full of variety, looking after the immediate needs of the Council, planning for future success and constantly scanning the horizon for future opportunities. There will be plenty of freedom and authority to make a real difference.
You will manage some complex procurements directly as well as enable officers to achieve their desired outcomes through your support and advice. Close relationships with all stakeholders, and a pragmatic attitude is essential.
