Prize distribution ceremony : The Tribune India

Panipat: A prize distribution ceremony was held to felicitate academic achievers who had brought laurels to the school. Panipat ADC Preeti was the chief guest at the ceremony and Dyal Singh College Trust general manager Balwant Rai Gulati was the guest of honour. Special guests were Ramesh Lather, academic advisor Dyal Singh Colony Karnal and Neena Rai, academic advisor Dyal Singh School, Sector 7. Meritorius students of Class X and XII were felicitated at the event. Parents of these students were also present there. Principal Vinita Kumar Tomar and headmistress Dr Neelam Vats welcomed the guest. A total of 71 students were honoured with medals, trophies and merit certificates. Cultural programme was also presented by students of the school. The main attraction at the event was -Anurag who secured second position at the state-level in Class X and Prachi who bagged first position at district-level in Class XII CBSE board exams.

Infosys picks four RKSD students

Kaithal: Divya, Manu, Neeraj and Suman, all students of RKSD PG College, Kaithal, were selected in the Infosys Pool campus drive held at Ropar. All the four girls will get training from the Mysore Infosys campus, Karnataka, and will be given a package of Rs 2.19 lakh. The students had participated in two qualifying examinations at the two-day job fair. On the first day, there was an online test on qualifying which they reached the next level. On the second day, an interview session was held for the selected participants. Chairman of the Managing Committee Saket Kumar Mangal, Principal Sanjay Goyal, convener of Career Guidance Cell Prof Naresh Garg congratulated the selected participants.

5 students bag medals at int’l event

Faridabad: Five students of Aggarwal College Ballabgarh here brought laurels to the college by bagging five medals, including two gold and three silver, in the recently concluded international open kickboxing championship held at Talkatora stadium in New Delhi. Principal Dr Krishan Kant Gupta said it was the first time that students of the college had won in an international sports event. Sportsperson from countries like Turkey, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Iran, Estonia, Nepal and Croatia had participated in the tournament, he said. Medal winners from the college include Sweta (BCA II) and Lalita (MCom), who won gold. Sujata (BA III), Yogita (BA II) and Hemlata (BBA I) won silver medals. Vice-Principal Kamal Tandon and faculty members congratulated the winners.

Dr Malik gets ‘Seva Ratna’ award

Sonepat: Dr Pushpendra Malik, associate professor at Surgery Department Bhagat Phool Singh Govt Medical College for Women, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat, was honoured with ‘Seva Ratna’ award by Union Health Minister Dr Harshwardhan at a programme at Delhi organised by Swami Vivekanand Health Mission Society recently. Congratulating Dr Malik for receiving the honour for rendering seven year service under the health mission, College Director Dr Renu Garg and Surgery Department HoD Dr SK Garg said other members of the medical community also work for rendering selfless service to the society.

Workshop on resume writing

Sonepat: Sunit Mukherjee, Director, PR, Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak, said, “Effective communication holds the key to inspiring leadership. To be an accomplished manager, one needs to be an effective communicator. Developing communication skills, especially honing writing skills is important for budding managers.” Mukherjee and CDLU Sirsa English Prof Pankaj Sharma were the resource persons at a workshop on resume writing and writing skills organised by the Department of Management Studies of BPS Women University, Khanpur Kalan. Mukherjee threw light on the creative aspects of writing skills. Prof Pankaj Sharma dwelled at length about effective resume writing. He said resume mirrors the personality of the individual.
