Pre-registration open for new direct seafreight route for Mexico-Europe

The need for an Express SeaRoute from Mexico to North Europa has become larger each year, according to United Producers of Mexico (UPM). They have been on an active mission to reduce shipping time to 12-14 days instead of the current 20-24 days.

During the Avocado Forum organized by UPM last August in Rotterdam, an ongoing survey was done among avocado importers and exporters, which resulted in concrete numbers about the current volumes of imports from Mexico. UPM has also formed strategic alliances with national associations in Mexico of avocados, mangos, papayas, berries, citrus, bananas and melons. UPM will also implement a UPM & Control Union Mexico Quality Control Program in packing-and-container stowing processes in Mexico for avocados and mangos.
