Uttar Pradesh’s Energy Minister AK Sharma said 10 per cent of the total revenue realised by the five power distribution companies would be given as incentive.
He said the incentive would be utilised by the discoms for strengthening and upgrading the power distribution network across the state. He said the 10 per cent incentive amount would be besides the total funds available with the discoms under the business plan approved for the current fiscal 2022-23.
The energy minister said the UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) was making constant efforts for supply the electricity as per the demand across the state.
He said for maintaining the power supply as per the demand, the power distribution companies had been directed to ensure the availability of funds for power purchase, repayment of loans and operations and maintenance. He said for meeting this goal the power distribution companies would ensure revenue recovery as per the target.
The minister said the UPPCL had been directed to constantly monitor the performance of the power distribution companies for ensuring uninterrupted power supply in all 75 districts of the state.
