Polish utility holds first offshore supply chain event – reNews

Polish energy company PKN Orlen attracted almost 400 people from 273 companies for its first ever offshore wind supply chain meeting for the 1200MW Baltic Power wind farm.

The event was held online on 9 December, with participants having the opportunity to learn about the company’s offshore wind power development plans, assumptions underlying the Baltic Power development and details of procurement processes associated with the project.

PKN Orlen said it plans to undertake further meetings as part of its dialogue with suppliers.

A series of meetings will be held in 2021 to discuss the individual work packages, with the participants to include Tier 1 suppliers.

During the meetings, which will be held in workshop format, participants will be provided with detailed information on the requirements, technology and schedules for the individual procurement packages.
