Police uncover huge cannabis factory worth £400K in Longsight

A huge cannabis factory with £400,000-worth of plants was discovered in Longsight.

Police found scores of illegal plants at an undisclosed address on Friday.

Sharing photos of the factory on Facebook, police officers joked: “There were no presents under these trees!”

“We found this at a property in Longsight today. By doing so, we prevented £400K from getting in the back pockets of criminals, that would have funded serious, organised crime.”

Pictures from the factory show rows and rows plants under hot lamps.

GMP did not say whether any arrests had been made.
