Owners say employee’s relative died from coronavirus complications

A Taft restaurant has voluntarily closed, saying a relative of an employee died from complications from the coronavirus.
The Pizza Factory, which had been serving pickup and delivery orders only in accordance with emergency directives, announced Friday that it would voluntarily shut down down for the next two weeks.

“We are saddened by the news one of our employees family has passed due to complications of Covid-19. Our heart goes out to this family.
The health and safety of our community and employees is very important to us, so it is with much sadness that we will be closing Pizza Factory for the next 2 weeks.

The Kern County Department of Public Health services that a second person had died in Kern County from coronavirus
