Organically Grown names new CEO

Organically Grown Company (OGC), a wholesaler and marketer of certified organic produce, announced that Brenna Davis has been named Chief Executive Officer. Davis will step into leadership of the company in partnership with OGC’s Mission Team on February 28, 2022.

Organically Grown Company includes its wholly-owned subsidiary Alternative Ownership Advisors, an advisory group launched in early 2020 to help mission-driven businesses pursue steward owner and finance models.

“OGC’s Board and Mission Team are confident that Brenna is the right person to build on our momentum,” said Carla Balen, OGC’s head of people. “She is deeply committed to organic agriculture and climate leadership and brings significant experience working in the natural foods channel and with companies focused on economic, social and environmental responsibility.”

Most recently serving as VP of Social and Environmental Responsibility and Communications at PCC Community Markets in Seattle, Davis has more than 20 years of leadership experience in multiple Northwest business sectors, including roles at Virginia Mason Health System and Puget Sound Energy. She is a trusted thought-leader, problem-solver, and Certified Human Potential Institute coach with a proven track record of developing diverse and high-performing teams.

“I am honored to be joining an organization with a strong focus on caring for people and the planet,” said Davis. “I have long-admired OGC’s trust-owned business model, as well as their decades-long dedication to organic food systems and the well-being of organic farmers.”
