Oregon factory jobs bounce back, finally, from pandemic slide — but not all sectors are equal

Oregon factories are humming again.

The state’s manufacturing sector shed 1 in 12 jobs during the pandemic’s first two months, and the industry was among the slowest to recover from the COVID-19 downturn. Now, though, factory jobs are ahead of where they were before the pandemic, approaching 200,000 statewide.
