Work by a group of Community Healthcare Systems information technology team members to enhance working efficiency of system staff has landed them industry honors.

The health system’s enterprise resource planning team recently was presented the PeopleSoft Innovator Award for its work on the latest features of Oracle device applications, enhancing overall user experience and increasing operating efficiency. The award recognizes hospital teams for customizing processes, technology, and the user experience.

“We continue to make significant progress in our digital transformation,” said Jesus Delgado, vice president and chief information officer, Community Healthcare System. “Our team’s recognition for innovation in our ERP corporate system demonstrates our commitment to developing operational excellence and improved user experience.”

Community Healthcare System’s IT team has implemented a new automated testing methodology, which reduces testing time for the business component at the hospitals and eliminates system errors during application upgrades. The team has developed more than 1,000 automated test scenarios with built-in validations across all PeopleSoft applications to ensure normal operations after any change to the system.

Several Community Healthcare System departments are utilizing new features to deliver real time analytics, which drive daily action plans. Community said its accounts payable and material management departments can use match exception analytics to quickly identify and resolve discrepancies to avoid delays in supplier payments.

Additional information about the award and Community Healthcare Systems’ work with PeopleSoft is available on Oracle’s website.
