Nutritional supplement products manufacturer Nutramax Laboratories announced it would build a factory in Indian Land, South Carolina. The $30 million project will add to Nutramax Laboratories’ three sites in Lancaster County. The new location will feature additional distribution, warehousing, and manufacturing capabilities. It is expected to create 200 jobs.
Todd Henderson, Nutramax President and CEO, said that for the last 30 years, Nutramax’s employees have been committed to delivering only the best. “Our values have created an unwavering guide to fulfilling our mission,” he said.
Nutramax Laboratories received undisclosed job development credits from the state Coordinating Council for Economic Development. The county also gained a $500,000 set-aside grant from the council to help with project-related costs.
Founded in 1992, Nutramax Laboratories operates facilities in Maryland and South Carolina.
“Nutramax Laboratories’ expansion highlights the growth life sciences companies are experiencing throughout South Carolina,” South Carolina Commerce Secretary Harry Lightsey said in a release.
