Minimum of 2 ride-along a month with Distributor Sales Reps.
o Schedule and arrange ABP meetings on a semi-annual basis.
o Keep track of wholesaler inventory and notify warehouse manager and NCBC production manager when
wholesaler is low with certain product.
o Beer is not to be self-distributed unless approved by wholesaler and production manager.
o 10-15 seasoned account visits per day / 4 days a week, along with an additional 5-10 new account visits per
week.
o Tracking, recording and reporting account visits weekly.
o Educating accounts on upcoming and current releases, promo opportunities, and
o Recognizing A, B, C, and D accounts, scheduling out market visits, and following through on goals.
o Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of North Country Brewing Co., which is “Think
Like a Mountain.”
o Be able to maintain working unsupervised, following through with accounts, ensure that our product meets all
areas of your territory.
o Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. Keep an eye out for
underage drinkers when promoting events and samplings. Follow your RAMP training.
o Notifying management when unable to make your accountants for the day. A minimum of 2 hours advanced
notice is required. No call no show no job
o Watch your language at accounts and anywhere you represent the North Country Brewing Co brand and
always wear a smile-customers are constantly reading you by your demeanor
o NCB Co. follows a Three Strike Policy. This meaning, you can be given three written warnings for failure to
follow policy or Management direction and will be terminated as a result of the third written warning.
o 4 Samplings a month
o 2 Events a month – Events should be scheduled several weeks in advance. Sales reps need to notify production manager at least
two weeks in advance of any beer needed for events. Working directly with the Marketing rep to ensure
advertising and promotion is out in a timely fashion.
Minimum Qualifications
o Be 21 years of age or older.
o Three or more years of sales experience. Common knowledge of the craft beer world.
o Must be 100% RAMP Certified or willing to obtain Certification.
o Able to understand and speak using the predominant language(s) of guests
o Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
o Have working knowledge of how our beer is crafted and their flavor profiles.
o Be knowledgeable of our food and recipes that have our beer within them.
o Must live in territory at time of employment
o Have a valid driver’s license
o Have a reliable transportation
o Be able to track and report mileage and all expenses. Expenses are reimbursed bi-weekly and processed with
payroll. Reports are turned in on Monday week of payroll
