noax industrial PCs are not only characterized by economical energy consumption, durability, ease of repair and a resource-saving design but now with nSMART the operation of the rugged industrial computer is even smarter. With nSMART, the central software tool, all settings can be individually programmed, configured, monitored and restored at any time.
The combination of a microcontroller (MCU) and the noax nSMART software facilitates the configuration and setting of each noax industrial PC and guarantees individual adaptation to specific needs. The user is given an overview of all adjustable parameters and functions. For example, function keys can be programmed, the power supply of the serial interfaces can be set or the service USB can be deactivated. If a company uses several noax industrial PCs with identical configurations, changes and individual settings can be immediately transferred to all other industrial computers using the software. This saves IT valuable time and production interruptions are avoided.
Individual adaptation for optimum running reliability
nSMART allows any hardware problems to be detected at an early stage. If the MCU detects that a monitored parameter is outside the specified limit values, an LED lights up on the front of the industrial PC. At the same time, a message appears at the bottom of the nSMART software. Because of this, appropriate measures can be taken quickly – the running reliability of the industrial computer is increased and no operational idle times or delays occur.
Effective and efficient: even on the surface.
High reliability is ensured not only by the simple configuration and setting of the devices but also by the design of the software interface. The function keys can be operated even with thick gloves.
Reporting – the key to easy error detection
nSMART also integrates the creation of reports with all important information about the hardware, including details about the device type, serial number, runtime data and settings. Troubleshooting measures can thus be easily initiated. For example, the display brightness is automatically reduced if the industrial PC threatens to overheat. All reports on the current functional status of the hardware can be exported to a PDF file and forwarded to noax Service for troubleshooting. This is Green IT with brains.
