Ningbo-Zhoushan world’s top cargo handling port in 2021

Container volume at Ningbo-Zhoushan port was 31.08m teu, up 8.2% year-on-year, ranking as the worlds third busiest container port following Shanghai and Singapore. 

As the end of 2021, Ningbo-Zhoushan port was connected by 287 shipping services, with 27 newly added comparing with the number at the end of 2020. Among which 117 routes are servicing China’s Belt and Road Initiatives. 

In 2021, Ningbo-Zhoushan port strengthened cooperation with shipping companies and railway companies for enhancing the container shipping and sea-rail combined transportation network. Its service efficiency for handling container vessels is rising to the top among global market.
