New virtual 5K Run/Walk for racial justice, held by Factory Sports and Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice

DELMARVA–Factory Sports and the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice are partnering to host a new virtual 5K run and walk to bring awareness to racial justice.

People can partake in the event anytime from August 1st to August 16th.

Portions of the proceeds will be given to the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice to help them with their efforts when it comes to fighting racial injustice.

We’re told this event comes at the perfect time as many are trying to educate themselves about the issue.

“It’s important right now because racial justice is important right now and I know that many are taking an interest in learning about what racial justice is and what they can do to educate themselves,” Sally Packard, a volunteer for The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice, said.

The registration fee is $25.

Race shirts will be selling for $20.

You can find more information on how to register on the alliance’s website at sdarj.org.
