Quality assurance and inspection platform Inspectorio has developed a new tool to help brands and retailers evaluate and improve the environmental and responsible sourcing compliance of their production networks.
The Inspectorio Rise module provides comprehensive Supply Chain Responsibility and Sustainability Compliance reports enabling brands, retailers, vendors, factories, and third-party verification companies to enhance environmental, social and labour transparency.
The reports are based on industry standards, but companies can also set their own standards based on their organisation’s specific goals and metrics.
Inspectorio Rise also offers support materials to help guide vendors through the assessment process with scorecards, dynamic and comprehensive reports, charts identifying a vendor’s results against the industry average, and also the option to assign e-learning certification courses on the platform.
To develop the tool, Inspectorio partnered with the Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP), the multi-stakeholder initiative implementing a converged, industry-wide assessment methodology for collecting and verifying social and labour data.
It is now a SLCP Passive Accredited Host, ensuring users have the ability to access SLCP verified data and the opportunity to drive continuous improvement through a robust set of analytics.
“The idea of social and environmental responsibility being simply an option is no longer viable for companies wishing to remain competitive, much less those seeking to establish themselves as leaders,” says Carlos Moncayo Castillo, co-founder and CEO of Inspectorio.
“Brands and retailers are now in a position where they must not only monitor their production chains, but support and improve them – and be able to communicate their findings in terms of social and environmental impact as well as provide context of how they relate to their organisation’s broader mission.”
