Bucks Coutnians interested in obtaining overdose-reversal drug naloxone will have their chance this week.
The Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission and Jefferson Bucks Hospital are hosting a free community event from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Falls Township hospital that is located 380 North Oxford Valley Road.
Those who attend will learn about the signs and symptoms of a drug overdose, resources that are available locally, and how to administer naloxone. Attendees will also learn about rescue breathing and family preparedness in the event of an overdose, organizers said.
Space for the event is limited, and one dose of naloxone will be distributed for every household.
Those interested in registering can contact Mallory Perrotti at [email protected] or 215-444-2785.
