Municipal weight in public procurement

According to the Public Procurement Authority data; Last year, a total of 487 thousand 502 public procurements were made with tenders under the Public Procurement Law, direct procurement and exceptions. The total amount of these purchases was 142 billion 727 million 54 thousand liras. 39.3 billion liras of this amount was composed of municipal expenditures. In the said period, 124,203 public procurements were made by the municipalities. Thus, approximately 28 percent of the total amount was spent by the municipalities.

Municipalities were followed by other special budget organizations with 20.6 billion liras, the Ministry of Health with 19.2 billion liras, and public economic enterprises (KIT) with 14.6 billion liras. The Ministry of National Defense purchased 9.5 billion lira, higher education institutions 7.8 billion lira, the Ministry of National Education 5.4 billion lira, and the Ministry of Interior received 3.8 billion lira.

In this context, while social security institutions spent 544 million lira, the public purchases of the Turkish Grand National Assembly were 62 million lira and the presidency was 59 million lira. Out of exceptions and direct procurement in the said period, 48,39 percent of the 58,251 auctions made within the scope of the Public Procurement Law were procured by goods, 33,65 percent by the service procurement, 17,84 percent by the construction work, 0,12 percent. has created consultancy services.

4 BILLION PURCHASE WITH ELECTRONIC TENDERS

  • Last year, 4 thousand 551 tenders were held with the electronic tender application put into operation in the last quarter of 2016. In these auctions, 4 billion 139 million 747 thousand liras of 6 thousand 230 contracts were purchased. Within the framework of this practice, electronic auction was realized in 1125 tenders and 9 thousand 194 parts. The final price bid total was determined as 2 billion 806 million 58 thousand liras.
