The need for workers with supply chain knowledge is growing in the Chicago Southland. “Today, more than ever, the flow of goods domestically and internationally is critical to the economic success of our region and country,” said Steve Pappageorge, Moraine Valley’s executive director of Corporate, Community and Continuing Education. “Today’s Supply Chain professionals must have a variety of skills – industry specific, business and technical.”
Introduction to Supply Chain Management Certificate (21 credit hours)
The Introduction to Supply Chain Management certificate offers seven courses that introduces students to supply chain management. Students in this program will build a base for entry-level and trainee positions or, if already employed in the industry, gain enhanced professional knowledge and career advancement potential.
Advanced Supply Chain Management Certificate (41 credit hours)
This program builds on the Introduction to Supply Chain Management Certificate and teaches students how to manage solutions and oversee the flow of goods, data and finances as a product or service moves from the point of origin to its final destination. Students learn about core technologies, business/industry content, domestic and global issues in suppliers and customer relations, value-added product differentiation and cost management as well as the professional skills required to succeed within this business. Students looking to work in a supply chain-related position or seeking career advancement should consider pursuing this certificate.
