Dmitry Kamnev, Senior Manager of MMK’s Category Procurement Department, discussed the Company’s experience in integrating digital tools to develop procurement processes in a presentation titled “Implementing a Procurement Digitalisation Strategy.”

The presentation touched upon topics such as developing a chat bot for suppliers and internal clients as part of a single platform; implementing the Process Mining system to optimise the life cycle of a procurement request, contract endorsement and execution; and creating automated strategies for various procurement categories at MMK.

Kamnev also shared the Company’s plans for further digitalisation of its procurement processes. This will lay the foundation for closer cooperation and knowledge exchange with some of Russia’s largest companies.

The Summit’s participants discussed anti-crisis transformation of key processes; basic procurement strategies given ongoing market limitations; use of alternative solutions at marketplaces; and import substitution of key goods and services. During the event’s official programme and on its sidelines, more than 100 speakers, partners and guests exchanged opinions and suggested solutions for some of the industry’s most pressing issues, from the legal framework of procurement regulation to digital tools and strategies to help procurement managers in the current market conditions.
