Miss Worcester Diner, Factory Property for Sale for $1.1M

WORCESTER – The property at 300 Southbridge Street in Worcester — which includes the Sargent-Card Clothing Factory and the Miss Worcester Diner — is for sale. The listing price is $1,175,000.

The Miss Worcester Diner opened in 1950. Today it is owned by Kim Kniskern. The sale of the Sargent building will include the diner.

The Sargent-Card building is one of the oldest surviving factory buildings in Worcester. The three-story brick building was built in 1866 and is more than 28,000 square feet of floor space.

The property is located in a zoning area that could be eligible for a Tax Incremental Financing Plan from the City of Worcester.

The Sargent-Card building was the first of three manufacturing buildings built in the 19th century that became known as the Southbridge-Sargent manufacturing district.
