The Ministry of Health has introduced nine new items for the treatment of cancer in the range of drugs for procurement for the 2021 budget, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said during a press briefing in Kyiv on Jan. 19.

“We have taken note of about 30 proposals from leading Ukrainian oncologists and state medical experts. We have added nine new items to the list of 67 drugs. These are drugs that will be used in the treatment of breast cancer, blood cancer, myeloma, brain tumors.” These drugs have the status of generics, that is, they are produced by at least two manufacturers, which is important for competition in procurement,” he said.
